Whatever car you drive there’s a gadget for you, and when it comes to in-car gadgets there’s plenty to choose from one of the most sort after car gadgets for the tech head has got to be the in-car computer it works as a normal computer would so you can take all you movies, music and office files with you but with the added ability to integrate it directly into the cars management system via the EOBD/OBDII port.

Giving you access to real-time diagnostics, so you can not only tune your car to perfection you can immediately identify faults, an added benefit of an in-car computer is can expand it as you see fit, with extra screens, wireless controls, advanced tracking and security systems just to name a few which makes it a perfect gadgets to start with.

Along with the media gadgets there is the performance enhancing gadgets, which are extremely popular with the modded car scene, one that stands out and has real potential to increase speed is Nitrous oxide, ever since the release of the fast and furious movies nitrous sales have increased.

NOS or Nitrous oxide obviously has its benefits but it does have its draw backs too like pre-mature detonation there are also the safety aspects to think of. NOS is safe for your engine when used correctly but the real safety issue is if you crash you don’t only put yourself and the passengers at risk you also put the emergency services in danger.

Then you have the visual lighting gadgets I think the most visually appealing for the outside of the car has got to be undercar lighting when undercar lighting first came to market they where neon tubes but nowadays they tend to be made using LED’s as they don’t contain glass so are much stronger, brighter and they last longer too.

One of my favourite lighting systems for in the car has got to be El-wire, I’ve used this stuff for allsorts and you can create some stunning effects with it but in cars I've seen it used in the dash but one of the best and most creative e ways I’ve seen it used was in the detailing in the seats. But no matter where you put this stuff it is bound to impress.

Another gadget that’s bound to impress is keyless entry systems no one likes fiddling with a key especially if it’s raining but using the power of key fobs that emit a radio frequency identification pulse to a proximity sensor in the car door. You can turn yourself into the key manufactures are also putting this technology in wrist watches for that extra bit of style appeal.

No matter if it’s for style, stability or performance I think it’s fair to say that car enthusiast’s love there gadget, but one of the biggest gadgets that’s missing from this page is the sound system and that's because I feel it deserves its own page to fully get into the ins and outs so till then just remember
